Happy Martin Luther King Jr. and Inauguration day, everyone! Let’s review the past week and more:
First, I sent out a post in Answering the Call:
Next, Ryan sent out a post:
On Saturday, I sent out and installment of Speeches & Stories, Lyrics & Letters:
Invictus
Welcome to the next installment of Speeches and Stories, Lyrics and Letters. This time we are looking at the “Invictus” poem by William Ernest Henley.
What I’m reading:
The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan
I found it on Kindle for cheap, it’s the first book in the Wheel of Time series. I grab my kindle anytime I feel an impulse to look at my phone I’m not the best at it… 10 chapters finished in just a week by doing that.
On Writing Well by William Zinsser
The gold standard of non-fiction writing expectations, celebrating a 50th anniversary here in a couple of years.
Text books
There are several text books I have to read every week for my online class… I won’t bore you with those!
I’m working my way through wheel of time more intentionally and taking a break from Sanderson now that Wind and Truth is in the rear view. I’m on book five, but moving slowly.
